Text Diffs and Replacements
The Blockbrain Add-in provides a powerful way to review and apply changes to your document. When you ask the AI to modify selected text, you will be presented with a review dialog that allows you to see exactly what will change before it happens.
How it Works
Select Text: Highlight the text in your Word document that you want to modify.
Ask the AI: Use the "Replace" mode in the chat interface to request changes (e.g., "Fix typos", "Make this more professional", "Translate to Spanish").
Review Changes: A dialog will appear showing the differences between your original text and the AI's proposed text.
Review Dialog Features
The Review Dialog offers two views to help you understand the changes:
Diff View
This view highlights the specific additions and deletions.
Red text with strikethrough: Text that will be removed.
Green text: Text that will be added.
Black text: Text that remains unchanged.
This view is best for spotting small changes like typo fixes or word swaps.
Preview Result
This view renders the proposed text as it will appear in your document, including formatting like bold, italics, and lists. Use this view to ensure the final output looks correct.
Applying Changes
Once you are satisfied with the proposed changes, click Apply Changes. The add-in will replace your current selection with the new text. If you change your mind, click Cancel to discard the changes and keep your original text.
